7th grade Name Tangle
Objective: Students understand the characteristics of a line.
Students will create their name using different characteristics of a line.
Students will understand and apply patterns to their artwork.
Vocabulary: line, line quality, line characteristics, patter, media, and medium.
Directions: Students stretched their names across the paper (6x12), using pencil first to create the sketch. In all of the negative space, the areas outside of the name the students filled with patterns.
The name was then colored in dark and completely with sharpie and all patterns were outlined with a thin point sharpie.
